The Role of Accommodation Operations

Accommodation Operations is part of Accommodation and Hospitality Services.

Accommodation Operations are responsible for the day to day running of the University residences which includes:

There are two Accommodation Services Centres on Campus responsible for enquiries relating to accommodation, lost keys, key collection, reporting of maintenance issues when your Accommodation Operations Co-ordinator is not available. There is also an Accommodation Services Centre off Campus at Carpenter House responsible for such enquiries.

Key Collection

Key Collection - On Campus

Keys for all on campus accommodation can be collected from the either Westwood Accommodation Services Centre or Woodland Court Reception during office opening hours.

Westwood Accommodation Services Centre - Located in front of Quantock Terrace is responsible for Polden Court, Quarry, Mendip, Conygre, Quantock, Cotswold, Derhill, Wolfson, Brendon Court, Norwood House, Osborne House and The Lodge.

Woodland Court Reception - responsible for Woodland Court, Marlborough Court, Solsbury Court and Eastwood House 1 - 51.

Key Collection - Off Campus

Keys for Off Campus Accommodation Complexes (Carpenter House, John Wood Complex, Pulteney Court, Thornbank Gardens, Clevelands Building and Canal Wharf) should be collected during office opening hours from the Accommodation Services Centre in Carpenter House.

The Off Campus Accommodation Services Centre is located in Carpenter House on Broad Quay in the city centre and is responsible for enquiries relating to accommodation, lost keys, key collection, reporting of maintenance issues when the housekeeper is not available.

Arriving at Carpenter outside of Office Hours

Security staff are available to hand out keys to people who arrive at Carpenter House out of office hours. If there is not a member of staff at Carpenter House when you arrive, please ring the telephone number on the main door and a member of security staff will come and meet you there.

Reporting of Maintenance Issues

In the first instance any issues should be raised with your Accommodation Operations Co-ordinator this can be done by telephone or in person. Alternatively please report faults and repairs needed online.

Customer Feedback

We value the views and suggestions of our customers and have recently implemented a customer feedback program. On arrival you will be handed a form for you to complete. During the academic year our staff will be carrying out customer surveys we would be grateful for a few minutes of your time to help us achieve this.

Accommodation and Hospitality Services are committed to providing the highest standards of customer care to their residences and customers. We provide a range of services and facilities and we aim to provide the best possible service we can. If, for whatever reason, you feel the service you are receiving does not meet the standards of the Code of Practice, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Housekeeping team, or report the problem to the Accommodation Services Centre on Campus, or in Carpenter House if you live in an off site complex.
